| IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT |
With sadness and regret, we are announcing that we will be shutting down the DotNetPlayground service on August 1st, 2003.
The Future of DotNetPlayground?
Without making any guarantees, we do want to open the doors back up for free ASP.NET hosting in the future. With some planning and fundraising, we hope to be able to offer .NET hosting better than the first time.
It was fun while it lasted and we hope that many of you learned a lot about ASP.NET. We certainly did.

| DotNetPlayground Members - Download All Your Files |
Please take the time to download all your files off the web servers now. The entire server farm will be taken down on August 1, 2003 and completely wiped clean.

Who are the people behind .net Playground?
.net Playground is made up of several ASP.NET developers that are interested in
exploring .NET web services.
We built a shared .NET test environment for ourselves and then decided to open
it up to other like ASP.NET developers, enthusiasts, and novices.
-
Why are you allowing others to develop on your servers?
We wish to promote the adoption of .NET technology by lowering the hurdle to
test and learn ASP.NET in a live web environment.
-
What is your goal?
.net Playground's goal is to host an active community of ASP.NET developers and
promote the adoption of .NET technology.
-
How will you fund your free hosting service?
Over the rest of this year we will be launching advertising and sponsorship
opportunities for vendors, services, and sites that wish to reach the ASP.NET
developer community.

Testimonials
I'm just getting started out in ASP.NET moving from PHP. I think it's
really cool how you setup this free service to help people learn and get better
developing ASP.NET sites!! - Jason Nager
It is great to have a .net playground to learn on a live server and get
used to a real life server rather than one at home. I am glad you guys
are around!!! - Phillipe
